Sheriff Mark Curran announced the Lake County Sheriff’s Office is conducting traffic safety patrols beginning Monday, June 25 through Saturday, July 7, 2018. Funding for this traffic safety campaign is made possible through a grant provided by the U.S. Department of Transportation and the National Highway Administration, and is administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
Sheriff Mark Curran stated, “The weekend leading up to the Fourth of July is a common time to travel, and we want you and your loved ones to arrive alive. Remember to be sure your passengers are buckled up, you don’t text and drive, and If you plan on drinking, designate a driver. Lastly, remember to share the road.”
Motorists can expect to see increased patrols and enforcement zones across Lake County. #DriveSoberGetPulledOver #ClickItOrTicket #DropItAndDrive
