On June 14, 2018, the Lake County Sheriff’s Gang Task Force concluded a several-monthlong investigation into the illegal sales of heroin and a firearm.
During the course of the investigation, Trae A. Wallace, 25, of the 6500 block of South Ingleside Street, Chicago, sold heroin on numerous occasions, as well as a firearm, to undercover Sheriff’s Gang Task Force Detectives.
Wallace was arrested on June 14th, after a Lake County warrant was issued for his arrest for:
Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon (Class 1 Felony)
5 Counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver (Class 2 Felonies)
5 Counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class 4 Felonies)
Unlawful Sale of a Firearm (Class 4 Felony)
Wallace was arrested by Sheriff’s Gang Task Force Detectives in the area of Route 120 and South Lincoln Avenue, Waukegan. When arrested, he was found to be in possession of nine individually packaged bags of heroin and four individually packaged bags of cocaine.
In addition to the warrant he was charged with:
2 Counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver (one Class 1 Felony, one Class 2 Felony)
2 Counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class 4 Felonies)
Wallace remains held in the Lake County Jail on $200,000.00 bail. He is next due in court on July 11, 2018, at 1:30PM in courtroom C-120.
