On May 28, 2018, at approximately 11:57AM, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a single-vehicle motorcycle crash with injuries, in the area of Miller Road and Oak Hill Road, North Barrington. Preliminary investigation shows a 2008 Harley-Davidson Motorcycle, driven by a 62 year-old male of Mount Prospect, was traveling westbound on Miller Road. Upon approaching a curve in the roadway, just east of Oak Hill Road, the driver lost control and struck the curb. Both the driver and his 62 year-old female passenger of Mount Prospect, were ejected from the motorcycle. Both the driver and passenger were wearing helmets.The passenger was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville with critical injuries. She was later pronounced deceased at the hospital. The driver was treated and released from Advocate Condell Medical Center.An autopsy is being conducted by the Lake County Coroner’s Office. The crash remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Technical Crash Investigations Unit.
