On April 1, 2018, at approximately 11:30 pm the Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a truck versus pedestrian incident on Lewis Avenue at Richard Place in Beach Park.

A blue 2017 Toyota Tacoma was traveling northbound on Lewis Avenue in the right lane and struck a male pedestrian, wearing dark clothing, who was walking in the northbound lanes of the roadway. The male died at the scene.

The deceased has been identified as Novotise A. Robinson, 45, of Zion.

The incident remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Technical Crash Investigations Unit.
