On March 15, 2018, Edmundo Aboytes, 87, of the 9900 block of Oak Forest Avenue in Beach Park was arrested for two counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child.

On March 14, 2018, deputies responded to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville for a report of a sexual assault of a child. The victim, who is 5, reported to her mother that Aboytes had inappropriate sexual contact with her. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office and the Lake County Children’s Advocacy Center worked together to investigate the incident.

Aboytes told detectives that he had inappropriate sexual contact with the 5-year-old victim. He was charged with two counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child.

Aboytes appeared in bond court this morning and his bond was set at $1,000,000.00. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 11, 2018, at 1:30 pm.
