On February 28, 2018, Lake County Sheriff’s Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Timothy L. Hoeller, 57, of the 8700 block of 72nd Street, Milwaukee, WI.  The warrant was for Threatening a Public Official (Class 3 Felony).  The bond on the warrant was set at $750,000.00.

Hoeller sent a letter to numerous Offices and Departments of Lake County Government, which was received on February 26, 2018.  He wrote he was displeased with a recent electronic filing he made at the Lake County Circuit Clerk’s Office.  In the letter, Hoeller references the Parkland, Florida school shooting.  He stated his intention of the letter was to “scare” the letter’s recipients.

After obtaining the arrest warrant, sheriff’s detectives learned Hoeller was being held in the Waukesha (WI) County Jail regarding a separate incident.

Hoeller remains held in the Waukesha County Jail pending extradition hearings to Lake County.

Sheriff Curran reminds the public the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
