The Lake County Health Department is offering two Youth Mental Health First Aid training dates at their Waukegan location (3010 Grand Avenue, Waukegan) on March 8 and 15

Adults working with youth in a variety of settings such as schools, medical facilities, social services, and youth groups are encouraged to attend.Youth Mental Health First Aid provides individuals with the knowledge and skills to identify and support adolescents (12-18 yrs. old) that are at risk, displaying warning signs of mental health or substance use problems, or experiencing a mental health crisis.

• Each training begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 5:00p.m.
• The cost for the training is $20 per attendee.
