Members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Warrants Team and U.S. Marshals Service - Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force (USMS-GLRFTF) apprehended Thomas E. Zbyszynski, 74, of the 3400 block of Jen Avenue, Park City, and Christopher L. Blatchford, 50, of the 1300 block of Light Road, Oswego.
On January 24, 2018, an arrest warrant was obtained for Zbyszynski for Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault (Class X Felony) and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse (Class 2 Felony - warrant stemming from a Lindenhurst Police Department investigation). The bond amount on the arrest warrant was set at $500,000.00. On January 29th, Warrants Team Members obtained information indicating Zbyszynski was at his residence in the 3400 block of Jen Avenue, Park City. Zbyszynski was apprehended without incident inside of the residence and transported to the Lake County Jail, where he remains held. He is next scheduled to appear in court on February 22, 2018 at 9:00AM in courtroom C-120.
On January 29, 2018, an arrest warrant was obtained for Blatchford for three counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault (Class X Felonies - warrant stemming from a Mundelein Police Department investigation). The bond amount on the arrest warrant was set at $1,000,000.00. On January 30th, Warrants Team Members located Blatchford inside of his residence and he was taken into custody without incident. Blatchford was transported to the Lake County Jail where he remains held. He is next scheduled to appear in court on February 28, 2018 at 1:30PM in courtroom C-120.
