On December 12, 2017, Lake County Sheriff’s Office Detectives were conducting an investigation in the 36300 block of North Route 41, Warren Township. During their investigation, they spoke to Kevin Adams, 46, who was living in the same area. Adams provided a fictitious name to the detectives.
Upon learning Adams’ true identity, the detectives discovered he had an active arrest warrant out of Boise, Idaho for a sexual offense involving penetration with a foreign object. Adams was subsequently arrested on the warrant and also charged with Obstruction of Justice (Class 4 Felony) for lying about his identity.
On January 11, 2018, Adams pled guilty to the Obstruction of Justice charge. He remains held in the Lake County Jail pending extradition to Boise, Idaho.
Adams is due in court this morning (courtroom C-120) for a status of extradition hearing.
Sheriff Curran reminds the public the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
