Lake County Public Works will conduct its semi-annual water hydrant flushing program beginning Sept. 19, weather permitting. The process will be performed daily Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. per the hydrant flushing schedule.

A mosquito “pool” (batch of mosquitoes) sampled on June 23, 2022 in Highland Park, Illinois has tested positive for West Nile virus. This mosquito pool is the first confirmed indicator of West Nile virus presence in Lake County in 2022.
