Beginning July 1, 2021, water and wastewater shutoffs will resume for Lake County Public Works customers who are behind on their payments, as the statewide moratorium on shutoffs is expiring. A moratorium has been in place since March 17, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These actions are consistent with the recommendations of Governor Pritzker and Attorney General Raoul.

Community Action Partnership of Lake County Community Action Partnership of Lake County provides our area with programs that help local families find self-sufficiency. Water/Sewer bill payment assistance is available for tenants and homeowners until funding is exhausted. Call 847-249-4330 for an assessment on assistance programs that may be available to you.
Utility Assistance for Renters If you pay rent in Lake County and have experienced a COVID-related financial hardship, you can get help paying your rent or utility bills through Lake County's Federal Emergency Rental Assistance Program. Assistance for Veterans The mission of the Lake County Veterans Assistance Commission (VAC) is to provide support to veterans and eligible dependents who reside within Lake County.
