Project Location: Located in the pretreatment building at the New Century Town Water Reclamation Facility in Vernon Hills and in the headworks building at the Des Plaines River Water Reclamation Facility in Buffalo Grove.   

Project Description:  This project will replace the existing bar screen equipment that has reached the end of its useful life. Bar screens capture and remove some materials from wastewater flowing into the water reclamation facility, allowing the wastewater to continue on in the treatment process. The screens empty the captured material onto a conveyor which transports the screenings to a dumpster for proper disposal.
