Lead Agency Working Group
Mission: The goal of this working group is to reach consensus on the most appropriate lead agency to advance paratransit coordination and service improvements in Lake County, Illinois and aid in developing a transition plan.
Current Information
During 2020, the Lead Agency Working Group accomplished its goal of reaching consensus on the most appropriate lead agency to advance paratransit coordination and service improvements in Lake County. At this time, the work of the Lead Agency Working group is finished and no further meetings are scheduled. The Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) would like to thank the Working Group members for their time and effort in bringing this important recommendation forward. Read the Working Group's draft letter of recommendation.
Additional coordination between LCDOT and Pace will be necessary before the recommendation can be formally approved and adopted. While the timing of the next steps are uncertain due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Lake County remains committed to improving the state of paratransit and we look forward to working with other stakeholders in the transition to the improved service.
