North Mill Creek/Dutch Gap Canal drains a 36.8-square-mile subwatershed of the Des Plaines River Watershed. The subwatershed drains portions of northern Lake County, Illinois and southern Kenosha County, Wisconsin. The North Mill Creek/Dutch Gap Canal subwatershed includes tributary drainage from Deer Lake Drain and Hastings Creek and several lakes. The main stem of the North Mill Creek/Dutch Gap Canal flows south from Bristol, Wisconsin to its confluence with the main stem of Mill Creek in the Village of Old Mill Creek.
