St. Mary's Rd/Everett Rd 3R
Limits: St. Mary's Rd from IL Rte 60 to Everett Rd in Mettawa and Everett Rd from St. Mary's Rd to east of I-94 bridge in Lincolnshire, Mettawa and Lake Forest.
Description: This project consists of asphalt resurfacing, installation of bike friendly shoulders, ditch grading and drainage improvements, and forest preserve bike path work.
At the Metra Railroad Track just north of IL 176 in Green Oaks/ Libertyville
Replacement of a large deteriorated cross-road culvert just south of the Metra RR tracks. Project will last about two weeks, but the closure/detour is for 2 days. Remaining work to line another culvert, fix some drainage & grade ditches will be done under daytime traffic control using one way traffic & flaggers.

8/22/2019 - The resurfacing of the Riverwoods & Everett Roundabout has been completed. The contractor is planning on milling and paving the rest of the project during the month of September. Please watch for workers and daily lane closures. Please use caution while driving through the work zone as daily lane closures will be utilized. Watch for flaggers, workers, and equipment.
7/29/2019 - This week, the contractor will be wrapping up all concrete work items and ditch grading. In the first few weeks of August, milling of the existing pavement will begin, beginning with the Riverwoods & Everett roundabout. This work will take place during night time hours to reduce traffic delays. This pavement milling is scheduled for the end of the week.
6/5/2019 - Contractor is currently excavating for new curb and continuing to install storm sewer and culverts. In the coming weeks they will be placing the aggregate base course under the new curb areas, pouring the curb, and reshaping the ditches. Please use caution and watch for flaggers while driving through the job site as daily lane closures will be used throughout.
5/3/19 - Contractor has installed all erosion control items and has replaced the wall cap along the Everett Rd bike path bridge. They plan to begin to install drainage-related items the week of May 6. Please watch for flaggers while work is active.
3/7/19 - The contractor is expected to begin work the week of March 11, removing some dead trees as well as a couple that are in conflict with the proposed bike path. The remainder of the project is expected to begin mid- April. Please watch for flaggers while work is active.
