Notice of Public Comment - WIOA Local Plan
The Lake County Workforce Development Board is accepting public comment on the four-year local plan required by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). WIOA is designed to help youth, job seekers and businesses. The comprehensive four-year local plan serves as a local plan to develop, align and integrate local area service delivery strategies with those that support the State's strategic and operational goals. The plan can be found here.

This RFP is designed to solicit workforce development partners and youth serving providers to collaborate with the Lake County Workforce Development Department to deliver a high performing, innovative, WIOA Youth Comprehensive Career Pathway Program serving WIOA eligible youth throughout Lake County, Illinois. The Comprehensive Career Pathway Program model is based on an integration of services delivered among and across multiple partners including the Workforce Development Department and the Job Center of Lake County. Job Center of Lake County MOU 2018 Required Modifications
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Interagency Technical Assistance Team, which consists of state-level partners of all required programs encompassed by WIOA, has reviewed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) submitted by Local Workforce Innovation Area (LWIA) 1. These reviews were conducted by representatives of required partners in accordance with Federal and State requirements under WIOA, including the “Governor’s Guidelines to State and Local Program Partners Negotiating Costs and Services under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014 (WIOA) – Revision 2” and “Governor’s Guidelines – Supplemental Guidance for PY2018 and PY2017 Reconciliation.”
Based on this review, the Inter-agency Technical Assistance Team approved the Job Center of Lake County MOU with technical changes required. The partners to the MOU received the information and made the required revisions. The following revisions were addressed by each of the partners to the MOU.
