Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP)

An evidence-based program for 8th and 9th grade students to strengthen their ability to make sound decisions, resist peer pressure, understand the risks and consequences of alcohol, drugs, tobacco, sexual activity and realize the value of completing their education.  The program is offered for six weeks, with one class period per week. It is conducted in a group discussion format and includes homework and topics for discussion with participants' parents. Participants also take part in the Real Deal, an interactive exercise that allows teens to experience the challenges and thrills of being an independent adult with a set salary.
