2017 - The Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) is currently involved in Phase II engineering for the improvement of the intersection of Gilmer Road and Midlothian Road. A traditional signalized intersection was selected to improve roadway and intersection safety and traffic operation at this location. LCDOT is in the final stage of design and right of way acquisition is underway. The $11.3 million project is programmed for construction in 2020.
2013 - Phase I: Preliminary engineering for the Gilmer Road – Midlothian Road intersection improvement is nearing completion.
