Board member Durkin represents the 8th District, which includes portions of Waukegan. He has been on the board since 2010. His main priorities are fiscal responsibility and transportation. He currently serves as chair of the Public Works, Planning and Transportation Committee. He is a lifelong resident of Waukegan, and an avid golfer. He has a B.A. in Communication from Columbia College in Chicago, and graduated from Carmel High School in 1979.
