Materials Management/Purchasing
Welcome to the Lake County Health Department/Community Health Center page for purchasing goods and services. It is the objective of the Health Department to purchase goods and services in conformance with the Illinois Compiled State Statutes and per the Lake County Health Department/Community Health Center's Purchasing Policies and Procedures. Visits by sales representatives to the Materials Management/Purchasing Department are welcome.   Please call ahead to make an appointment for productive use of your time and the time of Materials Management/Purchasing staff. Unless specifically requested by a representative from a Health Department site, sales representative visits to Health Department sites are not permissible. All correspondence/visits by sales representatives should be conducted through the Materials Management/Purchasing Department.
 
Bids and Request for Proposals (RFPs)
The Health Department's Bids and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for purchases of goods and services in excess of $30,000 are posted to this website and advertised in the Lake County News-Sun and/or the Daily Herald newspaper(s).

Bid/RFP Submittal Reminders:
  • Always refer to the instructions before responding with a Bid/RFP submittal.
  • Bid/RFP must be received before the submission date and time specified in the Bid or RFP.
  • Bid/RFP responses received past the submission date and time will be rejected and returned unopened.
  • It is the responsibility of the bidder/proposer to allow sufficient time for delivery of the Bid/RFP response prior to the specified deadline.
  • Facsimile and/or email transmitted responses WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
  • All responses MUST be in a sealed envelope with the Bid/RFP number and company name clearly identified on the outside of the sealed envelope.
