Committee of the Whole
The Committee of the Whole is responsible for matters pertaining to leadership seminars, strategic planning, special presentations/updates, and the County Administrator's Report.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee
The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee is responsible for matters pertaining to advising the County Board and County Administrator on recommended policies and practices surrounding diversity and inclusion in the County’s workforce.

Planning, Building, Zoning and Environment Committee
The Planning, Building, Zoning and Environment Committee is responsible for matters pertaining to land use planning, building and zoning issues, sustainability and climate change impact, environmental health, the County's carbon footprint and more.

Ethics Commission
The Ethics Commission is responsible for reviewing, investigating, and hearing ethics complaints.

Financial and Administrative Committee
The Financial and Administrative Committee is responsible for matters pertaining to County budgeting, wages, employee benefits, capital improvements, and other administrative items.

Health and Community Services Committee
The Health and Community Services Committee is responsible for community and economic development, housing, and budget and ordinance reviews for health-related issues.

Law and Judicial Committee
The Law and Judicial Committee is responsible for matters pertaining to setting many court fees and oversight of the Emergency Telephone System Board (911).

Legislative Committee
The Legislative Committee is responsible for matters pertaining to drafting and recommending legislative positions, intergovernmental affairs of Lake County, and relations with many government groups.

Public Works and Transportation Committee
The Public Works and Transportation Committee is responsible for matters pertaining to County transportation, water districts and sanitary districts.

Rules Committee
The Rules Committee is responsible for matters pertaining to reviewing the Rules of Order and Operational Procedures and making recommendations for changes.

Special Committee on Broadband
In 2023, the Lake County Board formed a new committee focused on determining the current state of broadband in Lake County and coming up with recommendations for improvement. The Committee will consider our resident’s access, affordability, and use in their work.
