Board member Wasik represents the 6th District, which includes all of Grayslake and Hainesville, and portions of Round Lake Park, Round Lake Beach, and Wildwood. He has been on the board since 2018. He currently serves as chair of the Legislative Committee, and as a member of the Energy & Environment and Public Works, Planning & Transportation committees. 

He resides in Grayslake with his wife and two daughters, owns a small business called JK Enterprises and is a professional speaker and journalist who has authored 17 books. He is also an environmental steward, musician and avid hiker and cyclist. He has a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Illinois, Chicago.
