Emergency Management & Bioterrorism Preparedness

Plans have been developed for emergency preparedness and bioterrorism to allow the Health Department to move very quickly to identify the emergency or disease, its possible source, and to minimize risk to Lake County citizens. These plans include mass medication distribution and mass vaccination capabilities. These responsibilities are possible by working in coordination with our public and private partners in the County. Public education on preparedness is an ongoing and important aspect of the program.
