Hearings are held on at 9 a.m. on the  2nd and 4th Thursday of every month. All hearings are open to the public.

The Board consists of seven members and two alternate members appointed by the County Board Chair with County Board approval.

Composition & Role of Board

The Zoning Board of Appeals holds public hearings to consider applications for rezoning, conditional use permits, requests for variation and administrative appeals. The Board makes recommendations to the County Board concerning rezoning, amendments and certain conditional use permits and renders final decisions on requests for variations, certain conditional use permits and administrative appeals. Public hearings for rezoning and conditional use permits are individually scheduled and are held during weekday afternoons in the appropriate township hall or other public building.

Review Hearings

Review hearings may be scheduled on the 1st Thursday of each month. The purpose of this hearing is to discuss and decide on matters that were left undecided at the public hearings conducted during the previous month.
