Mission
Cultivating and connecting our employers and workforce to fuel economic growth and well-being in Lake County.
Vision
Our team is an innovative and essential agent for economic growth
The Job Center serves all members of the public. We have resources for job seekers who may have a barrier to employment or a specialized situation, including veterans, youth, seniors, justice-involved individuals, and anyone with a disability.
Military Veterans
Military veterans receive priority of service. Please let us know that you are a military veteran when you arrive. A program is available through the Illinois Department of Employment Security for veterans with barriers.
Youth
Youth career services are made available by partnering with local schools, libraries, and community-based organizations. Applications for the Lake County Summer Youth Employment Program are available on the Job Center website during the month of February each year.
Seniors
Individuals of all ages can take advantage of the services of the Job Center. A specialized program for qualified job seekers who are age 55+ is available through the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP)
