  1. Voter Registration - By Mail

    April 4, 2019 - February 18, 2020

    If you need to update your record or register for the first time, voter registration is open now and is conveniently available by mail.

    A printable mail-in registration form is available online at the Lake County Clerk’s website. The completed form must be postmarked or delivered to the Lake County Clerk’s office by close of business on February 18. Your mail-in form must be accompanied by the appropriate documentation as listed on the form.

    To register, you must be a United States citizen, 18 years of age or older by the November 3, 2020 Election Day, and meet a 30-day Lake County residency requirement. You must provide two forms of valid identification, both showing your current name and physical Lake County street address.

    Remember, 17-year olds may register and vote in this primary election if the 18th birthday is on or before the November election.

    April 4, 2019 - March 1, 2020

    If you need to update your record or register for the first time, voter registration is open now and is conveniently available through the State Board of Elections’ Illinois Online Voter Registration Application Website until March 1.

    You must have an Illinois Driver’s License or State Identification card.

    To register, you must be a United States citizen, 18 years of age or older by the November 3, 2020 Election Day, and meet a 30-day Lake County residency requirement. You must provide two forms of valid identification, both showing your current name and physical Lake County street address.

    Remember, 17-year olds may register and vote in this primary election if the 18th birthday is on or before the November election.

  3. Voter Registration - With a Deputy Registrar

    April 4, 2019 - February 18, 2020

    If you need to update your record or register for the first time, voter registration is open now and is conveniently available at most municipal, township, and library facilities.

    The Lake County Clerk’s office, 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, will also offer voter registration weekdays from 8:30 AM to 5 PM until February 18.

    To register, you must be a United States citizen, 18 years of age or older by the November 3, 2020 Election Day, and meet a 30-day Lake County residency requirement. You must provide two forms of valid identification, both showing your current name and physical Lake County street address.

    Remember, 17-year olds may register and vote in this primary election if the 18th birthday is on or before the November election.

  4. Request your Vote by Mail Ballot for the March Primary

    December 18, 2019, 8:30 AM - March 12, 2020, 12:00 PM

    It's simple for any registered voter to vote by mail, including students away at school, traveling snowbirds, and those who will be out of town on Election Day. This option allows you to have a ballot sent to your home or a temporary alternate mailing address.

    Complete the short, required application form and return it to the Lake County Clerk’s office before noon on Thursday, March 12.

    You may:
    Complete an electronic application,
    • Call 847-377-2406 to request an application,
    Downloading a PDF to print and mail, or
    • Email your name, address, & date of birth to Voting by Mail Dept. to request an application.

    Pending state certification of the candidates, ballots will be printed and mailed beginning February 6. Your voted ballot must bear a postmark no later than Election Day, March 17.

Winchester Road in Libertyville, IL 60048, for the purpose of receiving public comments on proposed revisions to the Environmental Health Fees Schedule, as referenced in Lake County Code of Ordinance Chapter 178: Health Department Fee Schedules, to Lake County Code of Ordinances Chapter 177: Tobacco Regulations, and revisions to a Lake County Ordinance to restrict groundwater use as a potable source near the Hoffelder closed landfill site. Interested parties are invited to attend.
