County Clerk

  1. Voting by Mail for April 2, 2019 Consolidated Election

    March 8, 2019, 8:00 AM - March 28, 2019, 12:00 PM

    Any registered voter can vote by mail making this is an ideal voting option for snowbirds, students away at school, and those who will be traveling on Election Day as your ballot can be mailed anywhere.

    It's simple to vote by mail. Complete the short, required application form and return it to the Clerk’s office before noon on Thursday, March 28.

    Applications are available by:
    • Logging onto LakeVoterPower.info,
    • Calling 847.377.2406, or
    • Emailing your name and address to VotingbyMail@lakecountyil.gov.

    Your voted ballot must be returned to the Clerk's office with a postmark no later than Election Day.

  3. Pollwatcher Training

    March 14, 2019, 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM @ Lake County Main Courthouse

    The Clerk's office will offer training on the rights and limitations of pollwatchers on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. in the 6th floor Conference Room E at the Lake County Main Courthouse, 18 N. County St., Waukegan.

    Candidates can visit LakeCandidatePower.info and download the Pollwatcher Guide, a helpful brochure explaining the qualifications and responsibilities of a pollwatcher.

    All pollwatchers are required to have credentials issued by the Lake County Clerk or Illinois State Board of Elections in order to observe at any voting site. Pollwatchers may represent candidates, established political parties, qualified civic organizations, and organized proponents or opponents of ballot propositions.
