The Clerk of the Circuit Court has expanded its Public Access System providing access to certain civil, criminal, and traffic public records of the 19th Judicial Circuit Court.
The County justice agencies also continue to enhance programs to reduce recidivism – the habitual relapse into crime. Examples include a social worker in the public defender’s office, as well as mental health services and GED program at the jail.
The Courts have implemented intensive case management which reduces the amount of time necessary to resolve case, allowing cases to move through the justice system faster.
A new justice governance structure, known as the Executive Justice Council, provides more coordinated management between the justice agencies.
