Agriculture Best Management Practices

Agriculture is a primary contributor to non-point source pollution. Fertilizers, manure, and pestice runoff enters nearby streams and rivers degrading water quality. Tilled soil can also contribute to erosion leading to higher sediment loads in waterways. Degraded waters and potential flooding can result if not managed through Best Management Practices specific to agricultural runoff reduction.
