Technical Advisory Committee
TAC assists in the development, revision and review of the Lake County Watershed Development Ordinance (WDO) standards and administrative procedures, and makes recommendations to the Commission Board. The 12-member committee is made up of representatives from the development, environmental, municipal and consultanting engineering fields.
Municipal Advisory Committee
MAC is a forum for local government representatives to discuss inter-jurisdictional issues and projects, make recommendations to the Technical Advisory Committee on WDO administration, and to serve as a resource.
Watershed Management Boards
There are four WMBs - one per major watershed. WMBs hold an annual meeting to review and approve yearly cost-share funding grants available to WMB members via SMC's annual budget. The WMBs forward funding recommendations to the SMC Board for approval. Each WMB's membership includes the chief elected official from each municipality, township, and active drainage district; and county board member whose district is located wholly or predominantly in the respective watershed.
