Regional Planning Commission (RPC)
Composition and Role of Commission
The Regional Planning Commission is an advisory commission to the County Board on the Framework Plan and its five-year update and also performs an advisory function concerning land development. It reviews zoning map and text amendments, conditional use permits, and planned unit development proposals as specified in the county's Unified Development Ordinance. It makes recommendations on these matters to the review and decision-making bodies, the Zoning Board of Appeals and/or the County Board.
The Commission is made up of fifteen members appointed by the County Board chairman with County Board approval.

Meeting Dates and Place
The commission holds its regular monthly meeting on the third Tuesday of each month from 4:00 - 6:00. The meeting will be held at the Lake County Center Permit Facility, 500 W. Winchester Road, Libertyville, Illinois. All meetings of the Commission are open to the public. Please call 847.377.2600 to confirm meetings.
