Lake County Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP)

As of the end of August 2015, the NSP program has successfully produced over 90 units of housing for low-income Lake County households.  These units are located in the designated NSP target areas of Waukegan, North Chicago, Zion, Round Lake Beach and Mundelein.  Rental units specifically target households that earn less than 50% of the area median income (AMI), which is equivalent to a combined income of $38,000 or less for a family of four.  NSP homebuyer units benefit households at or below 120% of AMI.  Income earned from the sale of the homes to eligible buyers constitutes NSP Program Income.  These funds are returned to the County to be re-utilized in the NSP program.
