Winchester House, Lake County's long-term skilled nursing facilities, provides a variety of volunteer opportunities that allow individuals, corporations, schools, churches and civic groups to become directly involved with residents.
Adopt-a-Highway is a volunteer program offered by the Lake County Division of Transportation. Residents can help contribute to cleaner environment by volunteering to pick up litter along Lake County's highway system. More information about Adopt A Highway.
The goal of the Lake County Medical Reserve Corps is to increase the health care surge capacity of the county to support the existing health care system in the event of a major emergency, Flu Pandemic and / or to support local public health needs.
Medical Reserve Corps volunteers can and will serve a vital role by assisting with ongoing public health needs. More information about the Medical Reserve Corps is available on the Health Department's website.

- The VIP (Volunteers in Probation) Program has been an important feature of the 19th Judicial Circuit for more than three decades. Volunteers assist the Adult and Juvenile Probation Departments by meeting one-on-one with low-risk clients to share such skills as child care, building trades, youth group mentoring and library science.
