Lake County ILLINOIS - Information Technology
The Department of Information Technology supports technology within the organization as follows:
- Coordinate, evaluate, implement and support use of technologies with the county agencies
- Administer compatibility interface and performance on all hardware/software and networks used by county agencies
- Provide a "switchboard" for sharing information among departments
- Administer voice communications services and support
- Encourage uniformity in county business processes and services
- Administer data communications services, installs and support
- Coordinate and support geographical information systems and map services
- Sponsor integrity of business processes through administration of security, backup/recovery and systems analysis
- Provide technical expertise and support on all technology products and services
- Promote local and national exchange of information
- Provide information technology to support the goals defined by the county board
