Community Health Center Governing Council and Board of Health Advisory Committees

Lake County Community Health Center Governing Council

In addition to the Board of Health, the Lake County Health Department/Community Health Center maintains a Community Health Center Governing Council and several Board of Health advisory committees, including Environmental Health, Dental, and Behavioral Health advisory committees.  

The Governing Council oversees planning and direction of operations for the Community Health Center.  To ensure a community voice in the direction of the Center, a majority of Council members are users of the Center's services. The Governing Council meets once a month at noon at the 3010 Grand Avenue site in Waukegan.  The meeting dates for 2012 are:

Board of Health Advisory Committees

The Dental Advisory Committee
This committee meets on the first Thursday of every quarter at 7 p.m. at the Lake County Health Department, 3010 Grand Avenue (Conference Room 2C) in Waukegan. Remaining meetings for 2012 are on:

Personnel Committee

The next Lake County Board of Health Personnel Committee will meet on Wednesday, April 25 at 5 p.m. at the Lake County Health Dept., 3010 Grand Ave. in Waukegan (Room 3D)

The Lake County Tuberculosis Board will meet on Thursday, January 19, at 5 p.m. at the Lake County Health Department, 3010 Grand Avenue -- Room 2102 (2nd Floor) Waukegan.

Environmental Health Advisory Committee

The Environmental Health Advisory Committee will meet on Monday, May 21, at noon at the Central Permit Facility, 500 W. Winchester Road, Conference Rooms A and B,  in Libertyville.
