Welcome to the Lake County Health Department/Community Health Center page for purchasing goods and services. It is the objective of the Health Department to purchase goods and services in conformance with the Illinois Compiled State Statutes and per the Lake County Health Department/Community Health Center's purchasing policies and procedures. Please refer to related links to the right regarding policies and procedures, registering your company in one or more commodity codes, viewing the commodity list or creating a vendor login.

Visits by sales representatives to the Purchasing Department are welcome, but please call ahead to make an appointment for productive use of your time and the time of Health Department staff. Unless specifically requested by a representative from a Health Department site, sales representative visits to Health Department sites are not permissible. All correspondence/visits by sales representatives should be conducted through the Purchasing Department.

Doing Business

Bids and requests for proposals (RFPs) for purchase of goods and services in excess of $30,000 are posted to this Web site and advertised in the Lake County News-Sun and/or the Daily Herald newspaper.

Always refer to the instructions before sutmitting a bid or RFP, which must be received before the submission time and date specified in each document. Those received past the submission time and date will be rejected and returned unopened. It is the bidder/proposer's responsibility to allow sufficient time for delivery of the bid or RFP prior to the specified deadline. Facsimile and/or email transmitted responses WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. All submittals MUST be in a sealed envelope and the bid or RFP number along with the company name referenced on the outside of the sealed envelope.
