Welcome to the Department of Finance and Administrative Services!
Lake County is Fiscally Sound
Like cities and counties across the country, Lake County is experiencing a slowdown of the economy which is impacting our revenues. But, because of the County Board’s conservative fiscal policies and practices, Lake County remains financially sound.
Lake County has triple A crediting ratings, the highest awarded to governments, from Standard & Poor’s and Moody’s Investors Services. A diverse and growing economy, strong financial management, and a manageable debt burden are the hallmarks of triple A rated counties.
So, what does this all mean to you, the taxpayer? We know nobody likes to pay taxes, but in Lake County, you can be sure that every tax dollar is funding services that are impacting you everyday and enhancing our quality of life.
