These dates are in compliance with the Illinois Election Code for established political party candidates wishing to appear on the March 2018 ballot. August 28 Courtesy Nominating Petition Packets and Signature Requirements will be available on-line on our Petition Packets page and in-person at the Lake County Clerk’s Office. September 5 First day to circulate nominating petitions for signature, not before. November 27 The first day to file nominating petitions. December 4 The last day to circulate and file nominating petitions. As always, this website will list all candidates and public questions and provide details on registration, Early Voting, Vote-By-Mail and Election Day voting as current information becomes available.
