The Lake County Regional Office of Education’s Attendance and Truancy Division is inviting all Lake County schools to participate in the Twenty-Seventh Annual Fall Attendance Competition in Lake County. The Attendance Competition promotes improved school attendance at the beginning of the school year, and emphasizes the need to attend regularly to receive full educational benefits. This is in collaboration with Attendance Work’s in promoting Attendance Awareness Month.
There will be 4 categories where the top 10 schools with the best attendance percentage for the week of of September 12-16, 2016 will receive a certificate from the Regional Office of Education and be mentioned in news articles. These groups are: Small, Medium and Large Elementary (K-8) Schools plus High Schools.
