Robin O’Connor, Lake County ClerkIt is the mission of the Lake County Clerk's office to provide prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable service to all of our customers, whether at our counter, by mail, telephone, or via our website.
As the chief election authority, the Lake County Clerk provides a myriad of voter and candidate services and administers Lake County elections in a fair, unbiased, accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The Lake County Clerk's office also maintains vital records (birth, marriage, civil union, and death), public filings, tax and real estate services as well as recording the Lake County Board proceedings.

The strength of the Lake County Clerk's office lies in our staff's dedication and knowledge.

  1. Online Voter Registration Open until March 1

    Online voter registration is offered through the State Board of Elections’ Illinois Online Voter Registration Application Website (https://ova.elections.il.gov). You must have a valid Illinois Driver’s License or State Identification card. Online Registration
  2. Choose to vote by mail in the March General Primary Election

    Lake County residents registered with their current name and address can submit the required application to request a ballot by mail until Thursday, March 12, 2020, the last day a ballot can be mailed.

  3. March Candidate List available

    The List of Candidates for the March 2020 Primary Election is available and will be updated daily at 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm until December 2nd and then as needed.
